Therefore, mothers must develop their emotional intelligence in order to be effective on all fronts. In the contemporary word, emotional intelligence is considered as success predictor. Better EQ means more success, more peace, and better health.
Why Emotional Intelligence for Moms?
Emotions are involved in everything we do: every action, decision, and judgment. Emotionally intelligent people recognize this and use their thinking to manage their emotions rather than being managed by them.
Emotional intelligence is the habitual practice of using emotional information from ourselves and other people and integrating it with our thinking. Using these to inform our decision making to help us get what we want from the immediate situation and from life in general.
Put it another way: Emotional Intelligence is using thinking about feeling (and feeling about thinking) to guide our behavior. This will lead to better management of ourselves and better relationships with others.
Emotional intelligence helps us to identify our beliefs, biases and help us to be more intentional and allow us to think before act. It helps boost motivation and keep us hopeful. The way we put ourselves in the given situation helps us to build a relationship and help improve our interpersonal relationship and build networks.
